Almost 30 years ago, Gioconda Parker stepped onto her yoga mat--which quickly led to a new life path.
Facing personal challenges, she found both the inner peace and the grounded strength she needed to change her life. This transformational yoga experience called her to deepen her studies in yoga, Ayurveda, and philosophy, which eventually led to her first teacher training at a prestigious Austin studio. An eternal student, Gioconda also holds a Master's Degree in Spiritual Psychology and is a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. Teaching various yoga disciplines, meditation, and pranayama, she shares her broad knowledge globally through retreats and trainings. After years of experience leading trainings in various environments and creating programs for other studios and with other partners, Gioconda founded the One Om School of Yoga, a school that brings together the wisdom of yoga with the information from modern science in a community-based learning environment to create a deeply transformational experience.
