Bio - Glenda Wood Glenda followed a keen interest in kinesiology to a vocation in health and wellness.
Initially intending to use her education in physical fitness to teach P.E., her path changed when she took her first yoga class in 1993. As she discovered the profound effects of yoga in her own life, she felt compelled to bring yoga into her work with personal training clients. Inspired by the great toolbox of yoga to address, literally, all that ails us, Glenda took her first teacher training in Anusara yoga. She was hooked. Glenda is an E-RYT500, also holds certifications in Personal Training, Orthopedic Exercise, and Yoga for Cancer. As a Retirement Community Wellness Director, Glenda had the opportunity to address challenges often associated with aging. "I became increasingly aware of the need for a holistic approach to wellness - rather than focus on "attacking" illness, we can optimize the innate wisdom of body, mind, and spirit and support a return to our "natural" state of health. Yoga affords us this great fortune, and I am delighted and honored to share yoga with others."
