Hannah finds yoga to challenge her mentally, physically, and emotionally and has experienced the transformative impact yoga has both on and off the mat.
As a way to share yoga and its power with others, Hannah went on to receive her 200-Hour certification from Sky House Yoga in Silver Spring in 2017. As a social worker for over a decade, Hannah has extensive experience working with youth, adults, and families of diverse backgrounds. In addition to social work, she is also an ICF-Trained coach. In 2016, Hannah founded Vikara Village®, a nonprofit helping individuals deal with the challenges of everyday life. This innovative program brings together yoga and arts to help people develop a healthy sense of self, community and belonging. Hannah has completed a number of trauma trainings, including: Trauma Recovery and Empowerment Model, Street Yoga’s Trauma-Informed Yoga for Youth Training, and Diana Tokaji's Surviving Assault: Yoga Essentials as Early Intervention Following Assault or Trauma. She has completed Ayurveda Immersions and Mind-Body Skills Training through the CMBM. Hannah received her Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland – Baltimore and is an Independent Licensed Social Worker in Maryland and District of Columbia. Hannah holds a Master of Public Management from University of Maryland and bachelor's degree in journalism with a minor in sociology from Temple University.
