I began practicing yoga in in my college fitness center seeking a workout that would keep me active and healthy I was surprised to find that yoga did so much more than that I found in yoga a practice that would keep me growing and learning indefinitely I completed a -hour training with Yogacara Global in Scotland in Since then Ive furthered my studies in Trauma-Informed Yoga Prenatal Postpartum and Baby & Me Yoga Im passionate about helping yoga work for people with varying body types and ability/mobility In I opened the doors to Peorias first non-profit yoga studio Soulside Healing Arts I served as Executive Director until In my time with Soulside we contracted more than teachers facilitators and doulas; brought holistic wellness services to more than local organizations and workplaces; maintained a board of - members; and hired part time employees We kept + weekly classes operating on a pay-what-you-can basis with a focus on making yoga more accessible physically and financially Soulside continues under the direction of new leadership as I stepped away to find more balance in motherhood I currently teach a weekly Friday morning class with a core group thats been meeting to practice together for over a decade! prenatal yoga Thursday evenings Baby & Me yoga once a month and an annual Trauma-Informed yoga training You can find me at wwwsoulsidehealingartscom/calendar.
