For almost 30 years, I’ve worked as a yoga educator and yoga sports scientist. I specialize in sports-specific yoga, biomechanics, and movement science, and provide continuing education and advanced yoga teacher training. I blend art (Animation degree) and science (Masters in Sports and Exercise Biomechanics) into my latest course, The Yoga Sequence Solution. In 2009, after the last global crash, I pivoted my yoga teaching to online. My background gave me the skills needed to figure out the logistics. It enabled me to teach my science-based courses to yoga teachers, physiotherapists, and exercise professionals globally. My courageous students were critically minded practitioners who embarked on a 7-year case study research journey with me. Fast forward to 2020, and with a global faculty from India, Europe, the UK, and the U.S., we provided support to yoga teachers worldwide, sharing our best practices of how to teach yoga online. Over the past 3 years, we’ve connected and offered assistance to thousands of yoga teachers around the world. The COVID-19 pandemic posed a unique challenge for the yoga teaching community, revealing a knowledge gap in sequencing that many yoga teachers struggled to fill. You shared your struggles in creating safe and meaningful sequences. While apps provided ready-made sequences with a quick fix, they didn't provide you with a yoga teaching solution from a science-based perspective.
