Heather invites you home to a place of harmony quiescence and dharmic inquiry Acknowledging that we are on a quest to embrace the fullness of this human experience to experience integration meaning and purpose in our lives Heather brings a sense of “lets be curious” to the exploration of connection Enlivened by the “art of gathering” Heather offers you space humor kinship as well as tools for living authentically while crafting a practice of self-inquiry and purpose  As a student of life a thinker and a philosopher Heather began formal yoga studies in as a further extension of her curiosity around healing and augmentation to her work as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker She began sharing her practice with others in and earned the designation of E-RYT from Yoga Alliance in Mixing psychology science and the arts of movement and stillness  she works through the lens of self-integration purpose meaning and a “moving in the direction of” versus the arrival Affectionately referred to as the “High Priestess of Ease” Heathers practice and approach to yoga has been validated by her dedication to the lineage and deep offerings of those who have spent their lifetime studying yoga As such she has studied extensively with Judith Hanson Lasater PhD PT  Fondly referred to by Heather as “The Mother of Restorative Yoga” Judith is one of the founders of modern yoga in the United States  Having earned her certification as an Advanced Relax and Renew ® Registered Teacher Heather has traveled internationally to learn and assist Judith in teaching Relax and Renew® yoga Experiential Anatomy and various workshops  Furthermore Heathers fascination with anatomy and functional movement has evolved and been supported by her work and studies with Mary Richards MSC-IAYT Mary offers integrative health education based on her decades of study in anatomy physiology kinesiology cadaver dissection and therapeutic movement in addition to her Masters degree in Yoga Therapy  If you want to find Heather look no farther than the water that surrounds our cityone of the many trails that Chattanoogans find out their back dooror among a big stack of booksshe will be on the paddleboard soaking up the waves and the sun in her hiking shoes climbing to the top of any plateau or any mountain she can find or buried beneath pages of well written words  She is often surrounded by a delightful puppy puddle of her three Bouviers  In these ways she finds solace and quiet the respite from all of the to-dos of our everyday  This pause that she re-discovers over and over allows her to bring the quiet and still into her everyday.
