About
HyunAe is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance since January 2018, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS).
Hyunae’s professional journey is as stirring as her dedication to yoga. My name is Hyunae Jang. My ethnicity is Korean and Japanese. I practiced martial arts, TaeKwonDo, during childhood and earned a black belt in 1985 at a very young age. Learning discipline, endurance, and consistency through martial arts led to a professional intellectual journey to obtain many academic degrees, such as a Doctor of Dental Medicine (I am currently a dentist), UC Berkeley Microbiology, USC Keck School of Medicine MPH Biostatistics & Epidemiology, USC Gould School of Law MSL Health Compliance Law, and Business Law. My journey of self-discovery has continued. The transformation is interested in academic intellectuals and dedication to yoga practice in removing barriers and facilitating self-healing capacity through daily yoga practice. I desire to deepen and expand my skills, knowledge, and capacities. This personal growth journey is an endless endurance to self-discovery. When I practice yoga daily, I focus on five key elements: Breath, Drishti, Bandha, Vinyasa, and Asana. Breathe tune yourself into centric stage . It calms the mind from internal and external stimuli. Drishti assists us in focusing, maintaining stability, and bringing ourselves to the center. Bandha connects all toward the center. Vinyasa is a flow practice that connects breath with movement, which creates movement meditation. Asana is one of the eight limbs of yoga. It is a small part of yoga. I learn Asana one posture at a time, hoping to memorize the entire sequence. It is a mindful practice. By the way, I practice TaeKwonDo from time to time.
