Iya Domen is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with an approved and active Registered Yoga School (RYS).
She has been working full time at the hospital as a Clinical Dietitian for 9 years (June 2009 - February 2018). She has been a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist (RDN) since January 2009. Iya has been practicing Qigong and Dong family style Taichi at Dao Academy of Taichi for 12 years. She is a singer and a poet, her band is Iya & Hot Lava. She is a recording and performing artist, an owner of Wild Child Ananda Productions. Iya Motskobili Domen was born in Moscow, had a Biology and Education degree from Moscow Pedagogical University. Her last job in Moscow was 10 years as a staff reporter at Kommersant Publishing House. (1992 - 2002). Her transformation to an Ashtanga yoga teacher with focus on pranayama/meditation/sound therapy took 20 years from the start.
