Jackie Block

After attending a yoga retreat in Costa Rica with her home studio The Yoga Sanctuary, she found it was time to become a yoga teacher. She completed her first teacher training with Yoga Farm in Ithaca, New York online during the COVID pandemic in 2020. After teaching online, the opportunity arose to attend teacher training with The Yoga Sanctuary in-person, and she completed her second training in April of 2021. She is now registered with the Yoga Alliance as a yoga teacher, and continues teaching in person and online as well. Using her yoga teaching as a tool, Jackie is working with the transracial adoptee community to help support therapies that allow adoptees to heal adoption traumas. As an adoptee herself, she hopes to continue working with other adoptees and move into a more therapeutic role in the future. She teaches alignment and mindful based yoga, and also yin and restorative yoga.
