Jaime Warkonyi

She completed her foundational and advanced yoga teacher trainings through Asura Yoga Academy in Cary, NC and Yoga Garden School of Yoga in Apex, NC—both Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Schools (RYS).Jaime began her journey on the mat while attending weekly Hatha Yoga classes at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, where she first discovered the power of breath and began what she calls her lifelong path of “training for life.” With professional licensure in Elementary Education (K-6), Special Education (K-12), and a Master of School Administration from East Carolina University, Jaime brings a deep understanding of relationship-building, compassion, andSeva(selfless service) into her teaching.Since relocating to North Carolina, Jaime proudly serves as an elementary school Assistant Principal in the Wake County Public School System. She is dedicated to expanding access to yoga, meditation, and Reiki throughout the communities she serves, advocating for self-care, wellness, inclusivity, and collective resilience.Rooted in devotion and guided by the rhythms of the Moon, Jaime weaves mythology, mindfulness, and sacred ritual into her practice. She lives by the wisdom of Rumi,“There is a moon inside every human being. Learn to be companions with it,”and the mantra“No mud, no lotus,”embracing life’s challenges as pathways to growth, healing, and transformation.Jaime completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Asura Yoga Academy, studying under Jennie Wise, E-RYT, YACEP, MHS, with a focus in Yoga Psychology. She later completed her 300-hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training through Mindful Muse at Yoga Garden School of Yoga under the guidance of her mentor, Dharma Richards. She is also recognized as a Yoga Warriors International Teacher.In addition to yoga, Jaime is a Usui/Tibetan Holy Fire® III Karuna Reiki® Master Teacher, trained through the International Center for Reiki Training, and studies with Deborah Dixon of Subtle Wellness in Durham, NC. She is a trained Y12SR (Yoga of 12-Step Recovery) Peer Support Guide, having studied with Nikki Myers.Jaime completed Level 1 Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training under Keval Kaur Khalsa and continues to deepen her studies in Kundalini Yoga and yogic philosophy.You can find Jaime (Jai Rajgeet Kaur) teaching Yin, Kundalini, and traditional forms of yoga in award-winning studios across North Carolina, where she holds space for healing, self-discovery, and conscious connection.
