About
I am passionate about sharing the benefits of yoga! My teaching style is that of compassion-centered philosophy.
I believe that life should be lived with joy, gratitude and dedication to being present in the moment. These feelings inform and guide my teaching, which is focused on helping people to better connect with themselves, their loved ones, and their communities.I help guide students to discover how with the practice of yoga they can overcome challenges and find balance in their life. Students are encouraged to nurture their body, mind and heart; providing them with an experience where they feel nourished and balanced. Yoga teaches us that we may find contentment, not by striving or attaining, but by reflecting on all that we are grateful for.Over the years, I have had the honor of studying yoga and Ayurveda with many amazing teachers from various lineages. I am deeply grateful for all of my teachers and especially thankful for Charlotte Weltzin, Diane Featherstone, Anne Goewey, Diane Kovanda, Judith Hanson Lasater, Michelle Young and Nischala Joy Devi.In addition to learning from traditional yoga teachers, I love to study Yoga Philosophy with Professor Edwin Bryant of Rutgers University, Dr. Nicholas Sutton and Daniel Simpson of Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies, and the many inspirational faculty of expert scholars of Indology who teach through Yogic Studies - Dr. Seth Powell, Dr. Phillip Maas, Dr. James Mallinson, Dr. Finnian Gerety, Dr. Varun Khanna, Dr. Jason Birch and Jacqueline Hargreaves.I am deeply inspired by Eknath Easwaran's timeless wisdom and am grateful to practice and continue to study with the Blue Mountain Center of Meditation who honorably share his teachings.I am a Yoga Alliance Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher and Continuing Education Provider, Certified Mindfulness & Meditation Teacher, Brain Longevity® Specialist and a co-founder of Trillium Ayurveda’s Living the Wisdom of Yoga Teacher Trainings. The study of yoga and Ayurveda has enriched my life deeply and it is such an honor to share the teachings of these sister sciences through classes, workshops, and trainings! May we all find our bliss!
