I found yoga in 1998 when I was caring for my mother as she battled breast cancer.
It gave me peace, focus, and a way to share a profoundly healing practice with other like-minded people. I completed yoga teacher training in 2000 before the Yoga Alliance standards were published, and I started teaching at Yoga on Park in Merchantville, NJ, in January 2001. I am forever grateful that my yoga teacher, Mary Frances Jackson, urged me to teach within days of my certification. Twenty-two years later, I completed the RYT200 training in an intensive course with students who were all young enough to be my daughters or granddaughters.
