About
Jayson Hemp is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, and a certified instructor with 500hrs of training through the Joy of Yoga Teacher Training Program with Jennifer Prugh and Noell Clark.
Jayson has been actively teaching at local studios in Silicon Valley for over 5 years, both virtually and in person. More recently, he’s completed training in Restorative and Aerial Yoga modalities. Yoga has helped Jayson manage the stress and demands of college, life in general, and throughout his professional career as a software test engineer. He also found that it complimented his outdoor running and bicycling activities. Going through teacher training has deepened his practice beyond yoga as exercise, and has led to self-reflection, practicing mindfulness, undoing old patterns and is applying the philosophy of the eight limbs of yoga to his daily life. Incorporating a mix of physical movement, breathwork, music, and energy flow, he draws upon various styles of traditional and modern yoga, Tai Chi, and other exercise modalities to lead you through a journey of self-exploration. He believes yoga can be accessible to anyone, and will enable you by providing options for various poses as well as incorporating various props that allow us to focus on a particular objective – whether it is movement of a muscle group to open up an area, balance and coordination, skeletal alignment, or a supportive restorative pose.
