Jean is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS).

Jean completed yoga teacher training through the Native Strength Revolution 200-hour teacher certification program. Jean is also a Certified Level 1 Sound Healing PractitionerJean resides in Sheet'ka (Sitka), a remote island community on the panhandle of southeast Alaska and home of the Tlingit People. She enjoys spending time with her family playing board games, engaging in community activities together, and being on the ocean, boating, fishing, and kayaking. Jean has worked in social services for the Sitka Tribe of Alaska for 12 years and has worked in the human services field providing support, resources, and advocacy for nearly 30 years. She is a first-generation college student and is receiving her secondary education to become a licensed social worker. Her drive comes from her passion to be of service to her community, in particular, her Tribal community, and emphasizes the importance of healing through community support and engaging in activities that are rooted in health, wellness, and connection to the elements.
