I am in my th year of teaching yoga My first certification was a Bikram certification It would be equivalent to a hour teacher training It was this style of yoga that saved my life and helped shape me into who I am today After spending almost a decade in studio ownership in NM we moved to Tx This is where my exploration of many different styles of yoga over the last years began I have done Vinyasa Hatha Align Ashtanga Yin Sound Healing and Pilatessome I like more than others And as with anything an experienced teacher can really pull your best out of you The one most valuable lesson I have learned is that we are each our own best teacher It was new and exciting to teach yoga styles outside of the style I spent almost two decades in Honestly it helped me fall in love with the Hot style even more and I continue to come back to my roots My focus is and has always been to help people improve their health lessen chronic aches and pains and to prevent injury And over these last three years healing from surgery and injury has become at the forefront of my teaching due to spine surgery in November of Correct alignment and form through dialogue commands are a great strength of mine When we speak to the bodies of our students it can help them safely through the journey of each posture Workshop style classes are a favorite of mine Breaking down postures and helping people feel good getting uncomfortable is great Learn to be comfortable getting uncomfortable Making each student I teach feel welcome and most important safe within the space is very important See you on the mat! I am currently teaching a wide variety of classes from Hot Yin and Sound Healing Fundamentals of Pilates Stretch and Restore to Hatha Flow I can also mix up all of these and do privates to help you create a home practice when you cannot make it to a studio.
