Jeanette Schmidt

My passions include live music, snowboarding and travel and I spend much of my free time outside breathing the fresh air, hiking, biking, camping and running. Before finding yoga, I spent 10 years as a 911 dispatcher. After undergoing a major surgery in 2016, I found myself in chronic pain and struggling to cope with the emotional toll it was taking. I eventually left my career in early 2017 due to my pain and was left wondering what was next. I had practiced yoga on and off for years but finally found a regular and consistent practice starting in January, 2018 and it changed my life. I began teacher training soon after and earned my 200 hour certification in May of that year. The profound impact yoga has had on my life and my ability to not just cope but thrive in spite of my pain has fueled my passion for sharing the practice with others. Since then I have completed 50 hours of Trauma Informed Yoga Therapy training and recently completed my 300 hour certification. I love that yoga really has no peak or plateau but that instead there is always more to learn and the potential for personal growth is infinite! I love to practice and teach vinyasa and incorporate my love of music to create my own unique style in each class! I also love to teach hot yoga, sculpt, slow flow as well as gentle and I'm always looking for new ways of sharing yoga with my students.
