Jeanie began her yoga journey in college while looking for a way to calm her mind from the stresses and perfectionism of her Type A personality She instantly fell in love and focused her practice within the Ashtanga lineage After leaving her home state of Texas for Chicago Jeanie took advantage of the beautiful summers Chicago had to offer and became a marathon runner She continued to practice yoga as a form of cross training and as an aid in injury prevention Jeanie returned to Texas in and dove deeper into her yoga practice experimenting with other styles and traditions of yoga Enjoying the creativity of Vinyasa she eventually received her -hour teaching certification from Yoga Yoga in Austin TX Jeanie has furthered her education and training by studying under her teacher and mentor Jason Crandell In early Jeanie left Texas once again This time for the mountains of Colorado An avid hiker and aspiring cyclist shes excited to finally plant some roots and call her new state home Jeanie combines yoga philosophy western anatomy and psychology into her classes She emphasizes alignment and form while offering up different techniques Jeanies classes are strong and grounding while offering up a light-hearted environment where her students can learn more about themselves She firmly believes the physical practice of yoga is for everyone and that the poses are for us to understand our body.
