Jenna Galloway Founder & Owner Wymbin Yoga Founder BEAM Foundation Jenna was born in Perth Western Australia where she loved to run barefoot climb the magnolia tree in her backyard and spent most of her time in the salty water When she was she moved to Canada and found yoga later on when she tagged along with a friend to a class After studying Health Sciences at The University of Calgary and working with Dr Gregor Wolbring at the Center for Research and Disabilities Studies on a research project on Autism and yoga Jenna was inspired to start a social venture that would make yoga accessible to children with Special Needs Jenna recognized a need for holistic and affordable programming in Calgary and so created Wymbin- a childrens & youth yoga studio that focuses on providing families with wellness education movement-based classes and an inclusive community environment The Wymbin team believes that by focusing on the health of our youth and implementing strong values healthy coping mechanisms and community-focused relationships they can start to change the world! The studio located in Inglewood underneath Junction Yoga and Pilates will be opening in March of and will offer a wide range of yoga-based classes and programs including; Kids & Teen Yoga Parent & Child/ Family Yoga Workshops Camps Birthday Parties Teacher Training etc For more information please visit wwwwymbinyogacom In order to give back to the community and follow through with her vision to make yoga accessible to all kids & youth Jenna created the BEAM Foundation- which stands for Balance Empower Action and Movement BEAM is a not-for-profit organization that provides free yoga programs to kids + youth who are ill recovering have Special Needs or come from low-income families They also offer support and empower youth to make a difference in their community BEAM is able to do this by partnering with local organizations such as the Alberta Childrens Hospital Inn from the Cold and the Women in Need Society Jenna believes that every kid can discover their unique abilities and their full potential with the right support and guidance Through her work Jenna has had the opportunity to teach with Wanderlust Festival across North America develop yoga programming for The Alberta Childrens Hospital- amongst many incredible organizations In addition to working with children Jenna also loves teaching yoga to adults She obtained her hr Certification from Yandara Yoga Institute and is inspired by the practice to slow down reconnect and breathe.
