Jen Akob is a hour certified Yoga Alliance instructor She received her hour teaching certification from The Yoga Loft in Bethlehem the summer of The summer of she completed their hour teacher training as well She is completed her training in December of and Spanda Yoga and is now a registered C-IAYT Jen has been practicing yoga on and off for the past years She has found yoga to play a big part in her own health and well-being The more she learned and practiced the more she felt she needed to share her newfound knowledge with others It is in Jens nature to help people hence why she was a mental health counselor for the past years She retired from this position to pursue this new career because she believes yoga is a powerful life enhancing tool physically emotionally and spiritually She truly believes anyone can do yoga and reap its benefits of which there are many Jen teaches how she practices She enjoys the flow and movement that a vinyasa class has to offer and the importance of linking the movement with the breath At the same time she is focused on proper alignment and being sure to get into and out of poses safely as in the Hatha Yoga style She teaches off of the mat meaning that she walks around the room as she gives her instructions to make sure people are doing the asanas poses safely and correctly She encourages self-exploration and self-acceptance It is not getting into the final form of a pose that is important but the journey that you take to get there however far along that may be Jen opened her own studio Peaceful Yoga with Jen in January of in Brodheadsville Pennsylvania.
