About
Meet Jenny - A Yoga Journey Rooted in Strength and Transformation Jenny’s story is one of perseverance, transformation, and an unwavering commitment to helping others.
A U.S. Army veteran and former Apache Mechanic, Jenny faced the physical toll of her military career with resilience. Her discovery of yoga in 2000 became a pivotal moment of healing and renewal. Initially starting as a way to recover from injuries, yoga quickly became an essential part of her path toward recovery—physically, mentally, and spiritually. Just months into her practice, Jenny knew she was destined to teach and share the profound benefits of yoga with others. Certified as an E-RYT500 through Yoga Alliance, Jenny’s teaching philosophy is deeply inspired by Sri T. Krishnamacharya’s philosophy and the Tantric wisdom of ParaYoga. Over the years, her dedication to creating inclusive yoga practices led her to specialize in teaching diverse populations. Jenny holds advanced certifications in prenatal yoga, Yoga for MS, scoliosis, fascia work, cancer recovery, trauma-sensitive yoga, Viniyoga, and Yoga Tune Up. Her passion for individualized yoga instruction has been a driving force throughout her career. Noticing the varied needs of her students early on, Jenny pursued specialized training to ensure her classes were anything but one-size-fits-all. From seniors to expectant mothers and individuals navigating chronic conditions or injuries, Jenny designs practices that meet each student where they are. After completing her 200-hour teacher training with Purple Lotus Yoga in 2007, Jenny was inspired to open her own studio. That vision became a reality when she founded Rescue Yoga in 2009—an inclusive space designed to cater to all populations. Seeking to deepen her own yoga experience, Jenny later completed another 200-hour training in 2014 with Shanon Buffington and participated in Yoga for Cancer training in 2015 with YogaBridge. Today, Jenny continues to empower her students to experience the life-changing benefits of yoga. Her compassionate guidance helps students of all abilities develop strength, find balance, and foster healing—not just on the mat, but in their everyday lives. Jenny’s passion is rooted in making yoga accessible and meaningful for all, a reflection of her own transformative yoga journey.
