Jennifer Barton Reis - comes from a long history of movement. From a professional ballet dancer to a personal trainer and a ballet teacher, she continues her journey through movement in Yoga. As a registered and certified Children's Yoga Instructor from Little Flower Yoga in New York city, Jennifer currently teaches children's yoga at The Brunswick School in Jersey City, 2 days a week and at PS 37 in Jersey City, NJ.
She is also a registered 200 hour certified yoga instructor with Yoga Alliance and currently teaches at Sun Moon Yoga in Jersey City, NJ Jennifer is currently training for her 500 hour certification for adult Yoga at ISHTA in NYC. A Graduate of New York University, BA in Arts Administration, Jennifer co-produced and created NYU’s Gallatin School's first annual Galllatin Arts Festival, offering students the opportunity to present their art in a professional environment. As Executive Director of the Princess Grace Foundation, Jennifer continued to connect with young artists, honoring their journey through the Princess Grace Awards. As a professional ballerina, Jennifer toured throughout the world with Bejart's Ballet of the XXth Century in Brussels, Belgium, American Ballet Theater II and Chicago City Ballet. Trained in New York City at the School of American Ballet, Jennifer continues to teach ballet professionally and locally. Switching careers from non-profit management to Yoga was a longtime dream. Working with children and adults, Jennifer works to help individuals expand and stretch, allowing students to connect to their inner selves through yoga. Staying in the present and breathing through movement, opening up the heart to whatever the body presents that day is close to Jennifer's heart.
