I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2022 at Old Town Yoga in Clovis, CA, under the guidance of Desiree Heckman and Linda Hurst.
Since then, I have pursued additional certifications in Yin Yoga (with Melissa Christensen), Creative Sequencing (with Juliana Larochelle), Aqua Yoga (with Christa Fairbrother), and Chair Yoga (with Danette Lamee).Prior to teaching yoga, I worked in public education for 30 years with Clovis Unified School District, serving as an elementary school principal for the final nine years of my career. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling and Student Services and have completed training in Mindfulness Fundamentals.My teaching approach is grounded in the belief that yoga empowers students to explore sensation and body awareness with curiosity and self-study. I aim to create inclusive, mindful classes where students of all abilities feel supported in their personal practice.
