My interest in yoga began in the mid s when a friend recommended BKS Iyengars book Light on Yoga Soon after I took my first group classes in Rochester NY with an Iyengar-certified teacher My journey came full circle in after moving to Southwest Florida and completing my first -hour teacher training program at a Sarasota-based studio called Yoga from the Heart I have an integrated teaching style that encourages students to explore the subtleties of movement in a way that is gentle yet challenging – and always infused with humor Registered with the National Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT and YACEP I am always a student and am continuing my studies with with my primary teachers Tias and Surya Little of Prajna Yoga and am very near to completing my full Prajna Yoga certification In I transitioned from studio manager and lead teacher to studio owner with the purchase of The Yoga Sanctuary in Punta Gorda Florida a studio that has been my home base for nearly years My greatest hope is to continue to build and support the amazing yoga sangha that can found in here in Punta Gorda.
