About
ABOUT ME...Guided by the Yogic principle of Ahimsa (non-harming) and the joyful potential of "body-fulness", my teaching walks hand-in-hand with my own Yoga practice.
My classes are designed to inspire students to cultivate their own relationship with their personal practice, help them to trust their creativity, and foster their growth-- both on and off the mat! I am honored to have received my 500-hour teaching certification from Seattle Yoga Arts. In addition to my ongoing (and lifelong!) Yoga studies, I’ve completed my 30-hour Restorative Yoga training (Judith Hanson Lasater) as well as my 30-hour Yoga Teaching Certifications in "Accessible Yoga" (Jivana Heyman) and "Yoga For Healthy Aging” (Baxter Bell/ Melina Meza). I am also a certified SAIL Fitness Instructor (Staying Active and Independent for Life).OFF THE MAT? My life’s passions include not only Yoga, but also motherhood, partnership, and all things nature, art, music, film, and theatre. A native Midwesterner, I have a degree in Vocal Music and Theatre (Acting) from Beloit College—and I found regional success as a voice-over artist and commercial actor. You might remember me (most notably) as “Babs” the caterpillar in the Money Tree commercials! I also sing in a pretty rad 1980's cover band here in Seattle called "The Scrunchies".ABOUT MY TEACHINGMy playful and creative Yoga classes are fashioned to meet you where you are and to empower you as a practitioner— new or experienced!
