Jen Latourette is a Registered Yoga Teacher E-RYT YACEP with Yoga Alliance which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School RYS Santa Rosa Junior College - Kinesiology Instructor and Yoga -hour Teacher Training Program Instructor Jen Latourette is a Kinesiology instructor at Santa Rosa Junior College  She received her bachelors degree in Anthropology and Kinesiology and her masters degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in lifetime fitness from Sonoma State University She is an instructor and co-author of the SRJC Pilates Instructor Certificate program with Tara Jacobson and is also a Yoga Alliance E-RYT YACEP Registered Yoga Teacher and Yoga Alliance Approved Continuing Education Provider She is a former instructor and curriculum advisor in the colleges Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certificate Program  Jen began her yoga teacher training journey with Yoga Fit while working in the Health & Fitness Industry and started teaching basic yoga classes She then took a deeper dive earning her Hour RYT from Baptiste Yoga With a desire to deepen her practice and skill set Jen decided to complete her Hour RYT with Brett Larkin She continues to be a student of yoga both on and off the mat from a wide variety of teachers philosophies and styles feeling that a blend of yoga experiences leads to continued growth  In addition to her passion for yoga Jen also loves to teach Pilates for all ability levels and ages She earned her Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Certification with Balanced Body having studied with Gwen Miller Pilates in addition to Monica Anderson and Enrique Poore of TONE Pilates Dance & Yoga She currently teaches Pilates and yoga for general fitness and health college students runners cyclists and triathletes and spine safe Pilates for seniors At SRJC she teaches Kinesiology and Pilates Teaching Methodology She has also instructed Yoga Techniques and Training - Beginning and Advanced Introduction to Yoga Beginning Yoga and Intermediate Yoga and has also provided instruction for Mat Pilates and Pilates Yoga Fusion Jen has a well established career in the Health & Fitness industry over the past years and works extensively as a Fitness Wellness and Life Enrichment Director personal trainer group exercise instructor and endurance sports coach She is passionate about helping students be successful in their own health fitness and wellness journeys wherever it may lead them.
