About
My yoga journey began as a young PhD student, hoping to end suffering through advances in neuroscience.
I fell in love during my first-ever down-dog, and my life changed forever after hearing my first Sanskrit mantra (may all beings be happy!), leading me to my first yoga teacher training in 2005. Over the past 20+ years I have taken multiple teacher trainings with Sharon Gannon, David Life & Petros Haffenrichter (Jivamukti), Richard Freeman, Mary Taylor & Simon Borg-Olivier (Ashtanga), and hundreds of hours of study in therapeutic and restorative yoga, such as Iyengar and Kaiut yoga. After falling ill in 2011 with mold poisoning, my focus moved towards trauma and its resolution, both through psychotherapy and embodiment practices, and taught my first teacher training in the method I developed, TIAVY Trauma-Informed Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga in 2019. Today I incorporate trauma healing modalities, depth psychology, shamanism, yoga, mantra, visualizations and meditations into my work with clients.
