About
My teaching philosophy is to empower students to be their best selves.
I believe that movement practices like yoga and Qi Gong are for anybody any where no matter where one is on their fitness journey. Yoga and Qi Gong are more than just flowy movements and poses; both are a state of mind. I help adults who are experiencing chronic tension and stress find release so they can go back into their day feeling relaxed and recharged. I guide children who want to explore their minds and bodies learn how to recognize and regulate their emotions so that they feel empowered to be their best selves. I help stressed-out teens and adults who are experiencing aching bodies and scattered minds achieve focus, release and relaxation so that they return to their day feeling refreshed. Please see the class descriptions below to learn more about my teaching style: Kindergarten-3rd grade: Sessions will address breathwork playful movements and relaxation. Along with art games and guided meditation, children will incorporate movements with storytelling to bring stories from around the world to life. 5th-7th grade: Sessions will address breathwork, powerful and meditative movements, relaxation and affirmation statements to calm stress release tension and build self-confidence. High School and Adults.
