Namaste  I am an E-RYT teacher and have been teaching for years  I teach regular classes in Hatha/slow flow Gentle/Restorative Yin Chair yoga  Additional specialized experience and training:  Certificate in Childrens Yoga through Radiant Child Yoga certificates in Yin yoga and Restorative yoga  I have experience teaching adults seniors and children of all ages  I have + years experience as an Occupational Therapist that helps inform my Yoga teaching in the anatomy/physiology and functional and holistic aspects of Yoga I teach Hatha yoga classes focused on alignment safety and awareness in exploration of mind body and breath with an emphasis on calming the nervous system while building strength and flexibility gently  Incorporating Feldendrais/Somatic techniques of slow mindful movement to decrease habitual patterns of movement that perpetuate the cycle of pain  Restorative yoga with liberal use of props to support the body in postures allowing the body and mind to open and release  I also teach a Yin style class where I guide students in gently stressing the deeper connective tissues of the body fascia tendons ligaments bones in order to find more ease of movement and overall stress release I have experience teaching in the yoga studio and fitness center environment as well as in daycare and school environments  I also have a certificate in Taijifit a beginner friendly style of Taichi/QiGong Teachers who have influenced my teaching include:  BKS Iyengar Judith Hansen Lasater Lizzie Lasater Rod Stryker Kristine Kaoverii Weber Julie Gudmestad Doug Keller Donna Farhi Cindy Lee Tiffany Cruikshank Dr Timothy McCall Dr Ray Long Ginger Gardner Arielle Foster Dr Baxter Bell Tom Meyers James Knight Megan McCarthy.
