Jessica Byron is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with an approved and active Registered Yoga School (RYS).

In her yoga teaching, Jessica offers students ways to discover the yoga tradition's integrative tools, philosophy and path for self-aware transformation of body, mind and spirit.Jessica Byron MD RYT PYT has been a student of yoga and meditation for over 32 years and involved in the health care field for over 34 years. She completed her initial yoga teacher training (200 hr) with Swami Mahatarananda, and studied meditation with Sri Eknath Easwaran of the Blue Mountain Center of Meditation. She subsequently studied Integrative Yoga (500hr) and Functional Yoga with Joseph and Lilian Le Page and Maria KaliMa. Jessica served on the teaching faculty for the Tucson, AZ not-for-profit yoga studio, Yoga Connection and participated in teaching their Personal Meditation and Yoga Program and Hatha Teacher Training program (200 and 300 level). She also is faculty for Sundara Yoga's Advanced Yoga Training for Generalized Anxiety, Panic and PTSD. She previously was faculty for the Foundation for Cardiovascular Health's Yoga Practices for a Healthy Heart. Jessica completed a two year program with Tacheria Interfaith Spirituality Center, learning about various paths for companioning others on their journeys in health and wholeness. Jessica has additional training in Restorative Yoga, Back Care, Street Yoga (for homeless and at-risk youth), PTSD, and Trauma Informed Yoga, as well as Aqua Yoga. She facilitated a weekly Tucson meditation satsang for 30 years, based on the work of Sri Eknath Easwaran. She continues her studies with Kristine Kaoveri Weber's Subtle Yoga Resilience Society.Jessica is self-employed and teaches gentle chair yoga and meditation at various Tucson yoga centers, Aqua Yoga at Santa Rita Springs, and also provides various yoga workshops for groups and individuals. She is a retired physician, providing health care in Women's Health for over 34 years, a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and clinical faculty with the University of Arizona. She retired as a physician in July 2013 to assist with family matters and to continue the further study and teaching of integrative yoga.
