About
I was first introduced to yoga through home workout videos.
Next, I began to venture to local studios. During this time I fell in love with yoga. The welcoming environment and the amazing feeling both physically and mentally at the end of a class led me to begin a regular yoga practice. In 2018, with my youngest child going away to college and facing an empty nest, I decided to enroll in Emery Bryant’s Yoga Teacher Training. Initially, I only thought to deepen my practice and expand my knowledge of yoga while experiencing this new chapter in life. As the training continued and I jumped at opportunities to substitute teach I realized how much I truly enjoyed teaching yoga and sharing in others’ yoga practices. I completed my 300 hour with Jason Crandall Yoga in 2024. I am now RYT-500 certified through Yoga Alliance. In January, 2020 I opened my own studio, And Now, Yoga in Rogersville, MO. What a wonderful adventure it has been! For me yoga is about finding space within myself: space for quiet, space for contentment and acceptance. I always feel good, mind and body, at the end of a yoga practice. Yoga is my way to recharge. As a yoga instructor and studio owner my goal is to connect with each student, to learn what they need and want out of yoga, and to deliver those needs and wants in a way that enhances their daily life. That’s the beautiful thing about yoga: it is what you need it to be, whether that be solely a physical practice, more of a mental practice or a combination of both. My role as a yoga instructor is to make the practice yours. I look forward to the continued learning and sharing of all yoga has to offer.
