About

My goal in every session I lead, be it a yoga class, a group workshop, a retreat, or an individual coaching, is to send my students home with new tools for health and well-being, along with the ability to apply them in their own lives.

I studied under Chrissy Carter in Washington, DC, and started my teaching career with Quiet Mind Yoga. I moved to Los Angeles in 2009 to pursue film and to learn more about yoga from Annie Carpenter, Lisa Walford, and Jasmine Lieb, among other wonderful teachers. I've taught at gyms, studios, in the corporate yoga environment, and at conferences, and currently teach at Silverlake Yoga and at Occidental College. At Occidental, I expanded the yoga program for undergraduates to include multiple teachers and emphasize mental health practices from Ayurveda, Yoga, and current neuroscience and psychology. In 2021, I began training with the Center for Ayurveda, founded by Mela Gaskins Butcher, and earned my role as an Ayurvedic Health Coach in 2022. I am now pursuing my Ayurvedic Practitioner certification with Yoga Veda Institute while teaching yoga and coaching clients in Los Angeles. In May of 2024, I was one of 8 hand-selected participants in a month-long Ayurvedic Preceptorship in Bali under Dr. Resmi Rajagopal, an Ayurvedic doctor and specialist in Women's Health.
