About

Jil is a BC trained Registered Massage Therapist since 2013.

Her manual therapy practice is clinical based and has a movement rehabilitation and fascial release focus. After a couple years into her massage therapy practice, she realized she was prescribing a lot of yoga exercise as remedial homecare prescription, which inspired her to learn more about yoga and its history to better understand why she prescribes yoga exercise to her patients. Jil completed her 200 hour Power Vinyasa Yoga teacher training with Meghan Currie in 2015 in Bali, Indonesia. She has also taken extra training in Prenatal Yoga and Yoga Nidra to encompass a holistic and active element into her massage therapy practice. She has been teaching yoga since 2015 in both studio and workshop classes as well as leading a yoga retreat in Costa Rica in 2018. Jil is a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider as well as an ERYT200 instructor. Jil currently teaches yoga classes at Yoga Now Kamloops and is the co-founder and co-lead instructor on her joint venture Muva Dynamic Movement Education, creating and teaching courses to fellow RMT's and other allied manual health practitioners for continuing education credits. Jil's post grad courses includes Post Concussion Syndrome Management, Chronic Pain Management, Graston Technique, Stecco Fascial Manipulation levels 1 and 2, Human Kinetics and Exercise Physiology, Yoga Nidra, Prentatal Yoga and trauma informed massage therapy.
