Meet Jo-Jo (MS, C-IAYT, E-RYT500, YACEP) an experienced yoga teacher, yoga teacher trainer & clinical yoga therapist.
In addition, Jo-Jo's an Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor certified in HeartMath™ personal resiliency techniques and she specializes in guiding sound meditation practices through the traditions of Nada Yoga. After several years of dedicated study, practice and teaching, Jo-Jo expanded her professional yoga practice and graduated with an MS in yoga therapy from Maryland University of Integrative Health in 2024.Always a student first, Jo-Jo has more than 1000 hours in continuing education training, sourced from philosophical, therapeutic & somatic studies in addition to practices and techniques. Her continued treating includes mantra chanting, Sanskrit, Vedanta, Tantra, the neuroscience of yoga, adaptive yoga & yoga therapeutics, trauma sensitivity, yoga & equity, restorative yoga, Rocket yoga, marma points, meditation, pranayama, Yoga Nidra and sound therapeutics.With 15 years of personal practice and 12 years of teaching practice, Jo-Jo's has an integrative approach to yoga that's deeply informed by the therapeutic wisdom of Ayurveda and the embodied liberation of Tantra. As such, her aim as a yoga teacher & yoga therapist is to guide students & clients on the path of Self-inquiry to empower spontaneous, authentic Self-healing.
