Jody Bortone is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS).
Jody recently completed her 200 hour teacher training at Quest Yoga Arts in Mt. Kisco, NY with Wendy Hagen E-RYT 500 and Laura Jensen E-RYT, LMT. Jody began her yoga journey decades ago, originally studying yoga and becoming a certified yoga teacher at the Jain Center in NYC. When the Center closed, a long hiatus from yoga ensued. Jody re-connected with yoga several years and found herself transformed by its power to keep her focused and calm amidst life’s storm and a serious illness. For Jody, yoga is about self-discovery; discovering the best, most fun, most interesting, and wisest choices for ourselves. Jody is excited about teaching and is passionate about sharing yoga’s transformative power with her students. Jody connects with her students with joy and acceptance of her students’ journeys. Jody is also an occupational therapist licensed in NY and CT and is an occupational therapy educator. She earned her BS from Columbia, MA from NYU, and EdD in educational leadership from Fordham University.
