About
Josh Hartman’s yoga journey began on the road, living out of a tiny camper and visiting studios across the country.
Drawn to slower, more intentional practices like yin, gentle, and hot yoga, Josh immersed himself in as many classes as possible. What started as curiosity quickly became life-changing. A simple daily rhythm of yoga and meditation transformed his mornings and with them, his mobility, strength, confidence, and overall sense of presence.Inspired to share these benefits with others, Josh earned his RYT-200 certification in Santa Cruz, California, and shortly after made the move to Traverse City.“The best move I ever made.” He is deeply grateful to call Northern Michigan home and to be part of the Yen Yoga Fitness community, where he continues to grow as both a teacher and a student.Josh has completed additional training in Hot26 and SUP yoga, and recently earned his 300-hour advanced teacher training, deepening his understanding of intelligent sequencing, embodied cueing, mindfulness, and holding space for diverse bodies and nervous systems. His teaching blends strength and stillness, structure and softness, inviting students to build heat, awareness, and self-trust both on and off the mat. Josh also incorporates elements of breathwork, sound, and meditative practices, creating classes that are grounding, accessible, and deeply human.
