Judy's passion is to hold safe spaces for people to discover and celebrate the strengths and gifts of who they are right now.

Through teaching yoga, she supports students in developing a compassionate relationship with their bodies that allows their spirits to shine through.In addition to private sessions, workplace seminars, and workshops, Judy currently teaches regular weekly yoga and meditation classes at The Essence of Yoga Center in Richmond, Kentucky. Classes are available in person and online.Judy's yoga teaching focuses on breath, alignment and core integration with a mix of meditation, floor work and standing poses. Props and options are the norm, with special attention to safety and deep body intelligence. Appropriate for beginners and all practitioners who appreciate a deep and gentle approach to building strength, flexibility, and balance -- as well as support for living your yoga off the mat in your daily life. Judy is a nationally certified Health & Wellness Coach and is also certified through the Mayo Clinic. Her professional yoga training includes "The Art & Science of Yoga Therapy" with Joseph LePage, "Integrative Yoga for Seniors" at Duke University's Center for Integrative Medicine, "Yoga for the Rest of Us" with Peggy Cappy, "Yoga for Cancer" with Tari Prinster, and "Yoga for Scoliosis, Part I" with Elise Browning Miller at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. She completed advanced training as a Registered Yoga Teacher with Amanda McMaine, E-RYT 500, YACEP.Judy has guided wilderness vision quests for women, trained with the School of Lost Borders, worked for 30+ years in public broadcasting, served as Executive Director for a small Habitat for Humanity affiliate, and is studying for a Master of Public Health degree (graduation expected May 2026).
