About
Teaching high impact aerobics in my younger years and then working in the corporate world with little time to work out, I found yoga on TV one winter about eight years ago.
Soon I realized I was gaining strength and hesitantly started to go to classes. Golf has been a passion of mine. When spring rolled around I found I could hit the ball further and more consistently that ever before. It had to be the yoga! So my journey began. The physical benefits were the attraction but I now know the physical part is a small part of the yoga practice. I gained a deeper understanding of myself and the mind, body, spirit connection. I was attending all the workshops Go Yoga offered and travelled to practice with Max Strom and reading yoga books. After my mom died I found myself helping my dad out in a small town two hours north and the yoga was limited. So I got my 200 hour training certificate and retired from my job. I continued my training with Bryan Kest, known as the creator of power yoga, completing a 40 hour in-depth yoga training immersion, which included but was not limited to the understanding of the multi-dynamic possibilities of yoga asana (poses), working with issues and injuries, philosophy, Sanskrit, meditation, and the creativity to improve the ability to practice and share yoga. As I gained confidence and balance in my life, I want share this feeling, helping others find an authentic path to happiness.
