Julia teaches movement and mindfulness to inspire joy and strength Julia began her personal yoga practice as a -year-old who was seeking to heal her relationship with her mind body and spirit What she found was the power of her beings own innate wisdom and a safe haven that she immediately knew she would dedicate her life to practicing and teaching Julia knows that everyones greatest teacher is their own inner voice and she has been honored to create the space for this self-discovery for her students across her decade-long teaching career  By the age of Julia became a -hr RYT and was teaching yoga classes to hundreds of students through the Bates College Yoga Kula which she founded as a college student She has dedicated herself to over hours of teacher training and blends the wisdom of Vinyasa and Yin with core-focused strength training in her intuitive classes She is an avid runner and has had the privilege of teaching yoga and mindfulness to Olympians and D- college sport teams Julia teaches and leads retreats internationally including partnering with the Outwild Festival and Wilder Running & Writing Retreats Julias commitment to the healing arts led her to pursue a masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Mindfulness-Based Transpersonal Psychology at Naropa University where she is in her third and final year She is passionate about storytelling and is the creator of the Running On Om podcast and co-director and co-producer of the award-winning documentary film Bekoji   Julia currently lives in Cambridge MA where she works one-on-one with clients locally and virtually to bring the therapeutic and transformative power of yoga to their lives In her spare time Julia can be found exploring the local trails alongside Bodhi her Wirehaired Pointing Griffon whom she adores She is forever inspired by the resilience of the human spirit and mother nature.
