Julie Pomerantz has been a student of yoga since after a severe back injury that rendered her physically limited Upon discovering yoga her physical abilities began to return and she realized the yoga practice provided an enormous decrease in stress She completed her initial yoga teacher certification in and decided to share her knowledge with as many people as she could She is a lifelong athlete and nature lover using lessons from both to expand her yoga teachings She is on faculty for Trauma Informed Yoga curriculum and has additional certifications in Functional Movement and yoga from the Kripalu School Her experience as a First Responder EMT and as an Adaptive Recreation program director give her a unique and thorough understanding of adaptations trauma and resilience Her methods are based on science ancient wisdom and most importantly compassion kindness and observation Julie offers private and semi-private session in both Grand Junction and Crested Butte CO.
