For many years I found the Mat every January my intention was to make yoga an integral part of my self care plan however by Spring my Mat remained rolled up I struggled to make time for yoga while juggling motherhood family life owning a business and being a Hearing Professional During I became a Bereaved Parent The intense pain of grief & loss connected my mind body and emotions…I instantly became a Yogi I was curious “Could I experience this connection without the pain?” In January I boarded a plane to Costa Rica and participated in a Human Journey at the Peace Retreat I became a hr Yoga Teacher and found the answer to my question “Yes I could be connected without pain” To this day practicing Yoga helps transform my grief into more moments of joy I am proud to say I make the time for self care and my Mat gets rolled out every day I am a forever student; Heart Wise Chair Yoga & hr Grief Yoga are my Certifications In the summer of I travelled to Bali and challenged myself with completing a hr Vinyasa and Yin Teacher training I am passionate about listening to your body calming your mind and finding balance using movement breath and sound I am eager to share and lead compassionate practices with the community in our Nations Capital.
