Julia Siporin is a Registered Yoga Teacher E-RYT  with Yoga Alliance  As a result of completing the & hour Teacher Training programs with Scott Anderson Alignment Yoga founder and a hr YTT with Sarahjoy Marsh Daya Foundation Yoga Alliance acknowledges the completion of these yoga teacher trainings with approved and active Registered Yoga Schools RYS and has taught a sufficient number of hours to qualify as and E-RYT instructor Julia taught the Alignment Yoga hour teacher trainings between - and assisted in Scott Andersons Alignment Yoga hour training at Eugene Yoga Studio   Julia came to yoga in and meditation in She became enamored with the strong anatomy and mindfulness components of Alignment Yoga Using the elements of yoga asana pranayama bandhas kriyas and mindful awareness Julia offers students the opportunity to explore the workings of their own mind in the landscape of their body to develop greater ease resilience and equanimity while building sustainable strength  Most of her Alignment Yoga classes are focused on healthy aging - addressing balance agility strength healthy range of motion maintaining bone density addressing joint laxity and embodied awareness  Julia offers private yoga sessions  She has led numerous yoga and meditation retreats in Hawaii Costa Rica and Mexico where there are lots of amazing birds – her other passion   Pre-Covid she taught yoga at Eugene Yoga the Downtown Athletic Club and The Trauma Healing Project  Shes developed and taught a variety of series classes: Yoga for Healthy Aging Yoga for Healthy Bones  Yoga for Healthy Hips and Back and Yoga for Bird Watching to address the needs of those with springtime "Warblers Neck" 😉  In addition to yoga Julia is a certified Awake in the Wild nature-based meditation teacher and leads monthly "Mindful Meanderings" in the non-rainy months; she is a certified Morning Altars Earth artist and teacher to teach people how to create intentional impermanent art using nature materials and enhance their relationship with nature and she is currently in a year-long training with Rochelle Calvert PhD "Healing Trauma with Nature" Julia is an avid bird watcher leading monthly bird-walks and teaches workshops on bird song identification at the local arboretum She has participated in numerous citizen-science bird-related projects and leads a team during the annual Audubon Winter Bird Count Julia and her husband live in a garden paradise which they share with their beloved cat.
