Julie Carmalt is a Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 200; YACEP) with Yoga Alliance, an ACA-certified standup paddleboard (SUP) instructor and ACE-certified SUP yoga instructor.
By combining her two favorite loves - water and yoga - Julie is able to offer dynamic, empowering, centering, and adaptable on-water yoga classes for students of all abilities who wish to experience the benefits of practicing yoga on water. In addition, Julie holds a MS in Family Ecology and a PhD in Policy Analysis and Management. As a Program Director and Lecturer in the Department of Policy Analysis and Management at Cornell University, Julie enjoys infusing mindfulness in her teaching, advising, and program development to empower students to make healthy choices, study presently, and lead from the heart. She recently developed the College of Human Ecology Community Yoga program to promote wellness and mindfulness among students, staff, and faculty in her college. In addition to the courses listed below, she offers pop-up street yoga, leadership development yoga, and other special event workshops and classes.
