I began my yoga journey to lose weight.
I had no idea there was so much more to yoga than the physical aspect. After losing weight I wanted to enhance my practice and I took a teacher training class offered by my local studio. It was never my intention to teach. I just wanted to deepen my practice. After physical setbacks limited my ability to do yoga I gained back some of the weight that I had lost. It was very disheartening to not be able to do yoga. Two years after I received my 200 RYT I decided to start teaching. I researched chair yoga for people who have limited mobility. During the time that I had physical issues and was unable to practice traditional yoga I started thinking about trying to make yoga less intimidating and more accessible to people with restrictions. My goal as a teacher is to make yoga fun and attainable for anyone!
