Realizing that yoga created a rhythm and “breathing” that permeated her life, she began training to teach after four years of practice. After several years of training in Taiwan and India, she began to teach. She has continued training and teaching for the ten years and has thus has accumulated over 8000 hours of teaching experience. Her most prominent certifications include both 200-hour ERYT and 500-hour RYT Yoga Alliance certificates. In teaching, Ju-Min emphasizes unification of mind and body, and strives to inspire the student's hearts. The fluidity of her classes allows students to move into deep breathing, thereby continuously circulating energy. Ju-Min’s main focus is now on Iyengar yoga’s body alignment and injury prevention. Her depth of knowledge comes through in her chanting, her cues and her gentle and frequent adjustments to support each student’s body awareness. In addition to teaching yoga, Ju-min has been teaching Mandarin Chinese at the elementary school level since her arrival in the US two years ago. She enjoys working with children and has begun to find that teaching in these two diverse fields helps improve her understanding of the human being in a unique and profound way.
