About

Yoga Teacher | Yin Specialist | Newly Rooted in Orlando, FLKacia’s yoga journey began quietly — a single class taken more than 35 years ago, sparked by curiosity and a longing for steadiness in a fast-moving life.

She didn’t yet know that yoga would become the most faithful thread woven through her years: a place to breathe, to listen, to soften, and eventually, to teach. After receiving her formal training and offering more than 1,000 hours of teaching in White Salmon, Washington, Kacia recently relocated to Orlando. She brings with her the grounded calm of the Pacific Northwest and a wholehearted eagerness to connect with her new yoga community. Her teaching is rooted in presence, curiosity, and a sincere belief that yoga isn’t something we master — it’s something we meet, moment by moment.Although she enjoys the full spectrum of practice, Kacia’s heart belongs deeply to Yin Yoga. She has trained extensively one-on-one with respected yin teacher Kathy Kacena, cultivating a nuanced understanding of functional anatomy, longer-held postures, and the subtle emotional and energetic shifts that yin gently invites. These mentorship hours have shaped her teaching into something steady, intuitive, and deeply attuned to individual needs.Kacia completed her 200-hour teacher training through Yoga Samadhi / Columbia Gorge School of Yoga, where she immersed herself in yoga philosophy, anatomy, pranayama, meditation, and accessible alignment principles. Her training emphasized honoring yoga’s traditions while supporting real people in real bodies — a value she now carries into every class.Students often describe Kacia’s classes as grounding, welcoming, and quietly transformative. Expect thoughtful sequencing, clear guidance, and the kind of warm humor that reminds us not to take ourselves too seriously — especially when we find ourselves wobbling playfully in Half Moon. She believes that yoga lives not in the shape of the posture but in the quality of attention we bring to it, and she aims to create a space where every student feels supported, seen, and encouraged to explore at their own pace.Off the mat, Kacia is a lifelong learner, a mother, a photographer, and a lover of all things slow and intentional — which may explain her devotion to yin. She continues to study, practice, and grow, approaching each new chapter with humility and a heart wide open.Kacia is honored to share this practice with her new Orlando community and looks forward to offering classes, workshops, and yin-centered experiences as she continues her teaching journey.
