About

Kara Erickson is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS).

She has had the joy and honor of studying with Matthew Sanford, Doug Keller, Melina Meza, Baxter Bell, and Jivana Heyman. Kara is a certified Yoga For Healthy Aging instructor. She has completed the Mindful Resilience Teacher Training through Veteran's Yoga Project. She has completed the Connection Coalition Trauma Informed Certification Training. Kara has completed a course with Jivana Heyman/ Accessible Yoga School and is a certified Accessible Yoga Teacher. www.accessibleyogaschool.com Accessible Yoga focuses on safety, active inclusion, and approaches teaching yoga so it is truly accessible to anyone who wishes to practice, while uplifting those who hold marginalized identities and/or have limited access to yoga practice resources. Kara's hope is to open the wonders of yoga up to everyone so they can find the benefits and healing that it can provide. She teaches those who are not looking for the "traditional" yoga class- who think they "can't do yoga because I am not flexible", or are not able to access an affordable/accessible yoga class. She weaves the philosophy and teachings of yoga into her classes so they are relatable to ever day life. Coming from the lineage of Krishnamacharya, her motto is his saying "If you can breathe, you can do yoga!" Believing that with the simple act of conscious breathing we are doing yoga.
