I am also RYT200 certified and graduated in December 2021; at Blue Lotus Yoga in the City of Newnan, Georgia. My interest in yoga, came in 2017 when I was working as part of Cleaning Maintenance at Barre3 Studio in Winter Park, Florida. The owner, Andi Prather, gave me access to free classes to hers studio. From that moment on, I felt the call and wanted to walk that path. I noticed my physical, mental, and spiritual health were aligned- with my well-being. In 2018 we moved to Newnan, Georgia. From day one, my husband, Ronalt encouraged me to look for yoga studios nearby my residence. I found Blue Lotus Yoga in its old location in Downtown of Newnan. I found my teacher Shelby Ware, in a safe environment, full of tranquility and spirituality. I began to assist to the free community classes every Saturday, until I saw the announcement that BLY would give lessons to get the 200-hour yoga teacher certification. Despite my challenge with the English language, it was not a problem to learn everything. I had learned to teach and interact with my colleagues, who were kind and patient so we could understand and communicate. Being on this trip, I intend to teach and learn from my students so that we can find peace, tranquility, self-love, and many other things.
