With years experience as the Indianapolis Symphonys Principal Flutist Karen Moratz is well-acquainted with the benefits of linking breath movement and body dynamics She likens her work as a professional musician to that of a professional athlete and so has embraced yoga as a means of bringing mind body spirit and music together in harmony and at the center of her lifes journey She combines breathing techniques body alignment and the Alexander Technique with her music instruction as well as her yoga classes confirming for herself – and for her students – that the body itself is our primary instrument Karen holds a RYT certification from Cityoga and is registered with the Yoga Alliance She teaches both flute lessons and yoga classes at Butler University She also teaches at The Yoga Studio Annex.
