About
Hi! My name is Kasia, and I'm a Rochester-based yoga teacher whose primary focus is teaching one-on-one sessions.
I started teaching small group classes in a tiny yoga room, and one of the first things I noticed was how each student seemed to approach yoga postures in their own unique way; this is one of the things that led to my love for teaching one-on-one sessions, and the continued inspiration I find in our remarkable, variable, and adaptable human bodies! The common thread in all my classes is to highlight that; just how resilient, capable, & adaptable all of us are. All we need to begin is an attitude of curiosity & a willingness to pay attention as we explore movement, breath, and the patterns that might show up for us. My first yoga studies began in 2003 during a five-month Hatha Yoga course with Barb Litterio. I've taken several 200 hour trainings: a Vinyasa Flow training with Cyndi & Carly Weis in 2013, and an Iyengar-based training with François Raoult in 2018. My Restorative Yoga training was with Judith Hanson Lasater in 2015, and I'm now in my advanced 300 hour training with Jules Mitchell, studying yoga biomechanics, pain science, and somatics. I'm currently offering private & semi-private yoga sessions at Lake Breeze Wellness in Rochester. I also teach outdoor classes on the patio at Lake Breeze during the summer. I offer an in-person studio class at Assisi Yoga during the fall & winter months, and I have a variety of virtual offerings throughout the week so you can join in from wherever you are...for some fresh movement and fresh perspective!
