Kate Healy, BA, LMT is an E-RYT500 Registered Yoga Teacher.

She has been an active Member in Good Standing of Yoga Alliance since 2001, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with an approved and active Registered Yoga School (RYS). Kate has been an avid Yoga Practitioner since 1979, gathered over 25,000 Teaching Hours from 1985-Present, and has directed Yoga Alliance Recognized Teacher Training Programs over the last 19 years. Kate has certified dozens of talented dedicated Yoga Instructors at the Yoga Alliance 200 RYT Level, many of whom teach in Tennessee, Missouri and Arkansas, as well as others who continue to make a positive difference in the lives of many throughout the greater Philadelphia area. Kate has conducted ground-breaking work in the arena of Orthopedic Yoga, Cardiac Yoga, Yoga for ADHD out of the University of Tennessee - Martin, and continues to grow in her own personal knowledge and understanding of how to best convey the incredible health benefits of Yoga to those who need it the most. She has been educated in Trauma Sensitive Yoga for Survivors of PTSD, and has decades of professional experience in bringing Yoga safely and compassionately to those whom trauma has touched. Kate's expertise, gained from studying with Internationally Ranked Iyengar and Ashtanga Instructors, such as Dona Holleman, Joan White, Gerard Arnaud and Manju Jois, give her the edge when it comes to teaching safe Inversions, Advanced Asana & Pranayama Techniques, and offering expert, 'make the difference', Hands-On Adjustments. She traveled to Italy twice a year from 2001-2021 to participate in an Advanced Level Teacher Training Program with Dona Holleman, BKS Iyengar's first Western female Student - who studied with him for almost 50 years! In 2021, Kate was awarded a Certificate of Completion from this challenging International Level Program. In 2019, Kate completed a 100 Hour Cardiac Yoga Training Program affiliated with the University of Virginia Nursing School, as well as the Sivananda Lineage, and is now a Certified Cardiac Yoga Instructor. This Program has given her the skills to bring the benefits of Yoga to patients seeking to more naturally recover from High Blood Pressure and to help others manage more serious Cardiovascular Conditions. With an eye to the future, Kate is in the process of developing high-quality, hybrid In-Person & Online Programming most suitable for taking on the road to both retreat centers and rural environs where access to quality instruction is limited. Kate wants to bring the best of both worlds to her Students far and wide. Thanks for stopping by!
